About Us

Sophie and Zeke's was conceived by Reid Hannula and Danna Bare after several years of experimenting with customer concepts of varying size and food design. After lots of success in many different parts of the world (Heidelberg, Seattle, Newbury), they decided to bring their idea of a great restaurant to Claremont, New Hampshire.

First and foremost, the restaurant's focus is on its people...both customers and employees. With a fun and dedicated staff, S&Z's is an extra ordinary place for our customers to gather for fantastic food and drink.

We invest in our people through training and promotion, keeping everyone focused on the business of delivering the highest quality service in a relaxed atmosphere. If you have a great time at our place, please thank the staff--it's they who make us great.

Reid Hannula

CEO / Chef

Reid has over 16 years of restaurant industry experience, including the successful launching of six separate restaurant concepts. Reid has a Culinary Arts degree (summa cum laude) from Johnson & Wales University and he is a recipient of the James A. Carrol Excellence in Restaurant Management Award.

 

Danna Bare

VP Customer Service and Creative Director

Danna has over 12 years restaurant experience. Danna has worked as a creative influence on several projects with Reid.  She holds an A.A. in Arts from Keene State University and is currently obtaining her B.A. in Fine Arts.
