Friday February 15th 6:30PM | Ed & Dixie Eastridge
Vermont transplants since 1992, this couple wear a few musical hats. Dixie sings vintage rock, blues and soul with the band Sensible Shoes, but she lays down a jazz groove when she and her husband perform. Ed is a renowned guitarist and producer; he's worked in the studio with big names like Sheryl Crow, Emmylou Harris, Wynton Marsalis and Diana Krull. He mixes it up with many area musicians, but when Ed and Dixie play together, it's something special.

Thursday February 21st 6:30 PM | Roland Yamaguchi Band
These guys have been featured for as long as there's been music at Sophie & Zeke's. You'll recognized these familiar faces - Tom Caselli on keyboards, Nate Thompson playing upright bass, and the smooth guitar sounds of Larry Welker. When they backed vocalist Emily Lanier, folks knew them as A New Kind of Blue. Now they're the Roland Yamaguchi Band, though no one in this band is named Roland.

Friday February 22nd 8:00 PM | Ted Mortimer & Linda Boudreault w/ Glendon Ingalls
Occasionally, Ted and upright bassist Ingalls lay down the groove as a duo. Tonight, Linda join them to make it a trio, and marks a return of a crowd favorite. There's not a musical genre this husband/wife team hasn't mastered, from the Americana strains of the Stone Cold Roosters to the hot R&B of area institution Dr. Burma. When the jazz flows, with echoes of Sarah Vaughn, Billie Holiday and Norah Jones, it's quite magical

The return of the New Kind of Blue vocalist, now fronting her own group. In this premium ensemble, Emily is backed by a rotating group of some of the Upper Valley's finest, most accomplished jazz musicians. With a large repertoire of standards and great talent pool, they shouldn't be missed. Every week is different, every night is fresh and fun.

Friday February 29th 8:00PM | Billy Rosen Quartet
Leap Year fun! Writing in "Local Rhythms," Michael Witthaus calls the Rosen Quintet his "personal favorite jazz band appearing at this downtown Claremont eatery, due mainly to their improvisational skills." They are full of surprises, with a sleek, elegant sound that will transport you back to the golden age of bebop. Featuring Billy Rosen on guitar, Nick Scalera on sax, Norm Yanofsky on keyboards and Jim McNutt on drums, this group is a must-see.
